Samuel, David and Stephen Farnsworth, grandsons of Matthias Farnsworth b. 1615
Lancashire England - a 1st proprietor of Groton, MA.   Oliver Farnsworth was
the
great-grandson of Matthias Farnsworth and his wife, Mary (Farr) Farnsworth

Oliver Farnsworth (1742-86), was the first child born in the Old Fort,
Charlestown, N. H. He removed, 1773, to Woodstock, Vermont, where he served on
various committees and where his death “was a great loss to the infant
settlement.” He was born in Charlestown; died in Woodstock, Vt.
