Deacon Isaac Farnsworth b. Nov. 30, 1723 son of Isaac
Farnsworth and wife Sarah Page of Groton, MA Grandson
of Benjamin Farnsworth and wife, Mary Prescott of Groton
MA.
Deacon Isaac Farnsworth was town clerk from 1778 to 1781
and Representative to the General Court 1781. Again town
clerk 1785 - 1788. In a town meeting, Dec 16, 1773,
respecting the tea tax he was again made a member of the
committee to consider and report on the subject. (see
also Butler's History of Groton p. 123.
He m. (1) Dec. 4, 1744, Anna Green, dau of Eleazer
Green and wife, Anna (Tarbell) Green of Groton, MA. She
b. July 23, 1725; she d. and he m. (2) Oct. 9, l800
Lydia Nutting widow of Timothy Moors. Timothy Moors b.
Sep 11, 1720. Lydia (Nutting) Moors b. Nov 20, 1723.

July 22, 1799. She d. 1871. He was
adjutant of the old militia and Brigade
Quartermaster, JP and Coroner; Gov's
Council 1857-1858; Rep 1861; Senator
1865-1866 also a surveyor and with the
Haven - Treadwell Co. of Portsmouth NH
at the headwaters of the Kennebec and
Penobscot Rivers. He was in charge of
the township of Dummer NH. In 1876 he
res. in Harrison, ME and held prominent
positions in that town and state No
