How farnsworth book reads

Bud, Can you tell me how or what the numbers represent before each line 
of names? Such as  on pg 60 my line 
reads1-2-3-1-7-4-5-7-matthias-matthias-josiah-josiah-solomon-oliver-solomon. 
Solomon Cassius Farnsworth and his wife Gusta[which is actually Agusta 
called Gussie ]/ Lyons had 9th issue. Am I right to believe each # 
coresponds with each name in first line the first solomon being 7 and 
the 2nd solomon being 5? I notice each line of no's in book always have 
1 more no than name? what does this last no represent? are no's 
generations? if so does my 7&5 always represent my line. I have found 
mistakes as SolomonCassius father is listed as probably Solomon Cass and 
it is Henry S. Whom would  I write to change the mistakes? This is a lot 
of questions but figuree if any one knew you would. Appreciate any help
